Eco Drivers Academy
Eco Drivers Academy is an independent driving academy based in Surrey, which provides competitively priced driver tuition in Surrey and surrounding areas.
The owner, Badia Ouadi is fully qualified with over 13 years experience as a Department of Transport, approved driving instructor.
Badia is also a certified advanced driver trainer with the Institute of Advanced Motorists and is fleet registered.
Badia is also trained with the Queen Elizabeth foundation to teach driving to disabled pupils. Specializing in teaching pupils with Autism or who are on the Autistic Spectrum.
The academy’s ethos is to offset ones carbon footprint; this is done through sponsoring a charity called Tree Aid which plants trees in Africa. Eco Drivers Academy teach perspective drivers how they can make substantial savings each year by taking measures to drive more economically and we are designed to do just that in association with the Energy Saving Trust.
Eco Drivers Academy has an important role to play in educating drivers to take full responsibility in reducing their carbon footprint by driving in an ecological way which will eventually lead to a more car friendly approach which will help prolong the life of their car's components like tyres and brakes. This change in driving habit has an additional benefit of facilitating the adoption of safer driving habits, where driving in a considerate manner in turn makes the driver less likely to speed in order to avoid revving the engine above 2000rpm, saving fuel and, ultimately, saving money.
While the government clearly wants to see a reduction in co2 emissions this cannot be done simply by raising taxes. More needs to be done to educate drivers of the need to take up eco driving habits.
